Oriane Mousset of France, left, and Esther Low of Malaysia, who had never met before yesterday, both travelled to Franz Josef Glacier last week, each with their sisters, specifically to skydive.
But it was raining and their sisters both had to fly home on Friday. Since then Oriane and Esther have independently travelled around the South Island and made their way by car, train and bus back to Franz Josef Glacier on the perfect day and ended up on the same flight and completed their 19,000ft tandem skydive.
Their sisters are going to be VERY envious.
“Maybe our sisters should now come back and do a skydive together,” says Oriane.
Oriane and Esther both came to New Zealand for working holidays and will now enjoy some time travelling before returning home.
Thanks for coming back to Franz Josef and jumping with us at Skydive Franz, we’re so pleased it worked out so well for you both and we wish you all the best for your travels.
