Parachuting Chamois

Wednesday, February 06, 2013
Four friends may have been the first to ever go hunting and fly their game back by speed wing (a cross between a parachute and paraglider).
Chris Peterson and his friends climbed Alex Knob near Franz Josef Glacier a few days ago, shot a chamois and flew back to the glacier valley floor
“It was certainly unique, a different way to go hunting,” says Chris. “It was cool to go up, work as a team to bring down a kill and do something possibly for the first time.”
As for the chamois Chris says it was “delicious”.
