Here is our place in the world. Taken during a Skydive Franz flight this photo shows Franz Josef Glacier Village in the bottom middle next to the Waiho River. You can see the Southern Alps rising up dramatically on the right and the Tasman Sea at the top and left. The lake at the middle left is Lake Mapourika. Franz Josef Glacier and Aoraki/Mount Cook are out of shot to the right. The West Coast is just a snippet of land between New Zealand's highest mountains and the sea making Franz Josef the best place to do a skydive.
